Happy February!

January was a tough month for my family. My grandma passed away and we are mourning her loss.

She was a huge part of my life. When I was a toddler my mom went to nursing school and I stayed with my grandma when she was at school.

She taught me to bake, our favorite thing to make was peanut butter cookies, the recipe is on my site.

She also helped fuel my love of vintage things and also Disney. We shared a lot of common interests and I loved her dearly.

It's hard to lose people we are close to but I know I can keep her memory alive with all she shared with me over our many years together.

I hope you are staying warm and doing well. Make sure to take time to appreciate your loved ones.

Lisa

P.S. If you aren't following me on Instagram I'd love to have you, I post often there.

Currently Enjoying

These are some of the things I'm currently enjoying.(There are some affiliate links, I earn a small commission from these links at no additional cost to you.)

Books: I'm still not back in a good habit of reading so still reading Dear Mrs. Bird by AJ Pearce. You can see some of my other recent reads on my Bookshop.org pageโ€‹

Movies & TV: I recently watched The Six Triple Eight which was inspired by the first and only Women's Army Corps unit of color to serve overseas in WWII. I enjoyed it and it encouraged me to read more about the women, I recommend doing both.

Crafts: I had a lot of friends and family members with birthdays in January so a lot of my crafting was making cards. I hope to do some more crocheting and sewing this month. If you like cozy crafting be sure to check out my cozy hobbies list on Benables.

If you have been enjoying anything lately that you think I'd like, send it my way!

I hope you have a safe and happy February!
